Matting and framing

Wood - Traditional (Deluxe 2)

Looking for something more traditional?  Here are a couple of options to meet that need.  These frames cost extra and are classified as Deluxe 2.

Wood - Timberland (Deluxe 2)

The Timberland series of frames are more rustic in nature and are great in a casual setting.  Whether it is a family room, cottage, or a study these frames will work well with landscapes.  These frames cost extra and are classified as Deluxe 2.

Wood - Econowood (Deluxe 2)

Walnut, Oak or Ash in this style provide warmth to the photograph.  These go especially well with color photographs and can complement your decor.  These frames cost extra and are classified as Deluxe 2.

Metal - Standard

The Standard Line of metal frames place more of an emphasis on the mat and photo than the width and depth of the frame.  They come in a wide variety of finishes and colors.  These frames do not have an extra cost.

Metal - Standard Plus (Deluxe 1)

If you prefer extra depth and a little wider face to your frame the Standard Plus is a nice frame.  Whether you select a color or black and white photo this is a nice frame to choose.  It does cost a little more since it is a Deluxe 1 Frame.

Metal - Standard Plus One (Deluxe 2)

The Standard Plus One is one of my favorite frames.  Its geometric "box" like profile adds depth and face width in a very nice proportion.  These frames are classified as Deluxe 2.

Metal - Techline (Deluxe 2)

Techline is a frame that complements a photograph with its wide face.  The Techline look certainly gives the photograph a very attractive wide metal face to surround it.  These frames are classified as Deluxe 2.

Metal - Radius (included in base framing cost)

The Radius Line of metal frames have a curved face and place more of an emphasis on the mat and photo than the width and depth of the frame.  They come in a wide variety of finishes and colors.  These frames do not have an extra cost.

Metal - Standard

The Standard Line of metal frames place more of an emphasis on the mat and photo than the width and depth of the frame.  They come in a wide variety of finishes and colors.  These frames do not have an extra cost.

Matting & Framing

The saying goes “Presentation is Everything”. While you may or may not agree with this statement, presentation is important. Choosing the right media to print your fine art photograph on along with the right mat, frame and glass are all important components to having a quality result. I work with clients to give them the total package that will meet or exceed their expectations. Some selection decisions must be made before starting:

What the image is printed on is a choice that we can talk about.  It comes down to the subtle look of the image on different papers or more noticeable differences with canvas, metal and glass.

Fine Art Paper – comes in a variety of finishes: glossy, luster / satin and matt.Fine Art Specialty Paper – 100% Cotton Rag, Metallic, Watercolor Paper, etc.

Canvas Metallic / Glass – May be Frameless

I typically use a museum and conservation quality matboard which is 100% Acid Free. I use a base matboard and an overmat of the same color (white) for my gallery showings. The client may want to have an accent color with the base mat or overmat to compliment their décor. I am happy to work with the client to meet their preferences
