One of my favorite images is from Bryce Canyon in Utah. Just after sunrise at about 8:00, on a crisp early November day, was this sight. The hoodoos (vertical spires) had a translucent color about them at that moment. “Translucent” is today’s word.

Design elements are what this image is all about
Design elements are what this image is all about. This abstract image was taken on a cloudy day and it helps to show it in black and white. “Nautical Sweeps” is the title. Harbor Springs, Michigan is the location. “Sweeps” is today’s word of the day.
This time of year can be a bittersweet time
This time of year can be a bittersweet time. The boats return to the Boat House for their Winter sleep. This image is from the Adirondacks in Upstate New York. “Bittersweet” is today’s word.
